Review content:
I stopped by David's Bridal to get professional measurements for my bridesmaid dress. Even though I was getting a free service at the time, I was planning on returning after I received my dress to get my alterations. First, it took them at least twenty minutes to find someone that would do my alterations. The person in the front of the store kept telling me to go to the back of the store on my own and ask for a certain person (who apparently wasn't there, or was just avoiding it) When I finally found someone to do my measurements, she was very unfriendly and quick. After she handed me the sticky note with my measurements, I noticed that they were all very large. I always wear either a size 2 or a 4, and she wrote that my hips were a 38, my waist was a 28, and my bust was a 36. I could tell that these were outrageous measurements, so to avoid getting a dress WAY too huge for me, I went to Target to buy a measuring tape to measure myself. Upon taking up to 2 inches off each of the measurements, I found better measurements and sent those to the bride to get the proper bridesmaid dress. Since I was being conservative with my own measurements, I still received a dress one size too big. Had I used the measurements I received from David's Bridal, I would have ordered a dress at least 2 (most likely 3) sizes too big! I would never go back here. They try to make you get a dress way too big so you have to go there to get it altered and pay them at least the value of the dress, if not more.
