Review content:
I have a four month old maltese puppy that I took to Sandy's Pet Station Depot last weekend. Worst decision I have made in a long time. My puppy is well taken care of, brushed every day, given a bath every two weeks, taken on walks, and up to date on his vaccines and in perfectly good health. He is a playful puppy, the dominant one in the litter, so at times he can be aggressive, but at six months he is going to be put in training class and be neutered so hopefully it will help.
So, when we took him to the groomers, we showed them a picture of EXACTLY what we wanted, and they said that was doable. Fifteen minutes later, I received a call saying his butt area was matted so it would have to be short. And also, that he was ""bigger than what we expected him to be so the price is going to go from $25 to $35"" This should have been my first hint to tell them to not touch him and go pick him up and take him elsewhere. When I had called to make the appointment, I had told them he was 4 months old, 6 pounds....what do you expect that to look like? That right there showed inexperience not to mention extreme shadiness.
When we went to go pick him up, we walked into the store, and the owner was extremely rude, saying he had been very bad and uncontrollable, that it took three people to hold him down. When they brought him out, he had been completely MUTILATED. Sheared down like a sheep, his face fur had not been cut, and neither had his tail. They made my gorgeous puppy look like a rat. The lady proceeded to tell us that if this ever happened again, that they would charge us more. As if she was the high and mighty one to speak to customers that way, talk about poor customer service. It seemed as if they were blaming US for their poor judgment and inability to do their job properly. Their inexperience and lack of tact, and nerve to blame the owners for their third rate and pathetic attempt to ""dog groom"" is a complete turn off, and this place needs to be shut down.
Cons: Please see the pictures above.
