This place leaves much to be desired. I went here with my family and what assaults you first is the tsunami of cheesy music, circa 1984, blaring from the speakers. I'm not kidding when I say ""Thriller"" was on the playlist. We were seated at one of the tables next to the marina, which would have afforded a nice view had it not been for the sun's glare burning holes in the retinas of the two people facing the windows. Even with the sunshades down, the glare was blinding and squinting through your meal is not a ""spectacular view"". We ordered some calamari, which was obviously overcooked and rubbery. One of us ordered the grilled king salmon, which at first glance appeared dry and crumbly, only to be further insulted by the very real possibility that it had been previously frozen, given its chewiness and lack of flavor. It was terrible! The other ordered the tilapia special, which came grossly undercooked. The sea bass special that I had ordered was the best of the table, in that the fish was cooked perfectly. However, this was a fleeting virtue as it was covered in a hollondaise so thick I had to wonder what they were trying to hide. When we told the waitress of our dissatisfaction, she was quick to defend the honor of the chef, but upon inspection of the salmon, could not disagree that it was dry. She remedied the situation by taking it off the bill, which was kind. The point is this, if you have a restaurant that specializes in one kind of food, then do it well. This is not that kind of place. It is a marina bar/fish and chips/might as well have karoke joint that is masquerading as a serious (and pricey!) seafood restaurant. Good, fresh, quality seafood needs minimal preparation. Bluewater Grill might as well be serving Van De Kamps with tartar sauce. What a rip-off!
