Having lived in the Sherman Oaks area for a few years now...I've always passed a little shack on Ventura right near by the Casa de Cadallic. By its exterior, you'd never think they'd cook up good food. However, being curios one day...I stopped by. I ordered a simple 'ol Roast Beef Dip. The price was reasonable...with drink, chips and the sandwich...I hit the $8 range. The sandwich came piled on with meat. Probably at least 1/2 pound...probably more since the sandwich fills me up and other things that say they are a ""half pound"" don't do the trick for me. The sandwich was heavenly, the meat was tender and delicous. The only drawback is that there is only about 3 tables there and a few chairs to sit on. Considering this is more of a hidden treasure, I haven't yet seen it packed...despite the fact the food is so good.
