Review content:
I took my boyfriend here for his b-day and we both loved it! Since moving to LA a little over a year ago and thoroughly enjoying the wide variety of ethnic food available, we have struggled to find a good bistro/American style restaurant. I think we might have found a new favorite. Larchmont Grill has something for everyone ? salads, vegetarian pastas, fish/seafood dishes, and lots of options for the carnivores. We had the crab cake appetizer ? it was one of the best I have had not in the state of Maryland. Radicchio salad was amazing ? the items selected for it were such a great compliment to one another ? manchango, fig, pecans. YUM! I had the grilled pork chop ? great flavor and sauce. BF had the grilled rac* of lamb, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. I am not usually a huge fan of lamb, but the lamb is what I would order on my next trip to Larchmont Grill. Even the sides were done very well. We had a bottle of NZ white and glass each of Paso Robles red. Both were very good. A little bonus ? they have nightly specials! Wed. night buy a bottle of wine (which we did) and your appetizer or desert is free! Tuesday was ? price wine, both by the bottle and glass. I don?t remember all of the other specials, but every night had one. The service was friendly; attentive without being annoying or overbearing ? the waitress always showed up at the table at just the right time, not too interruptive. My only regret ? we were too full for desert. I am sure it would have been tasty as well. The price was what I expected it to be. They also serve lunch and have weekend brunch. I think I might need to talk BF to going there for Easter Brunch. Although it won?t be difficult to get him back there at all. Valet parking, but we easily found free street parking just a block away (on side street off Melrose at strip mall just west of restaurant). Great place for a date. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Pros: Everything we ordered tasted great!
Cons: Not enough room in my stomach for desert.
