Review content:
I live in Baltimore most of the year, but have a condo in Santa Barbara that my wife and I return to 2-4 times a year for R & R. In Fall 2007 I joined Spectrum Uptown as a full-time member while on sabbatical in S.B. and was a regular user of the facility which I found to be very well run, consistently clean and orderly and very friendly. I also got to know Lisa and Cindy who helped me set up an active membership for Fall 2007 and an inexpensive inactive status for me while I was away from S.B. The inactive status could easily be reactivated for longer return trips, and this made it extremely convenient for me to come and go and still have access to the fitness facilities when I was in town. Thanks Cindy!
Pros: convenient, clean, great staff
Cons: Parking lot slots hard to come by at peak use periods during the day
