Review content:
I love Japanese restaurants. If ever given the choice, I will pick Japanses every time. I have been to Osaka twice now; my first experience was ""normal"" with nothing excellent but nothing to complain about. Recently, my friends and I decided to go for a late lunch. We arrived 45 minutes before they close to prepare for dinner (or whatever they do for those few hours) and the waitress was incredibly rude. I would have almost preferred her to turn us away. They clearly decided to rush us out, even though 45 minutes is plenty of time for a hibachi meal at lunch time (no appetizers)--especially since we were the only people there. The chef was very funny and nice, but the waitress came to the table more frequently than needed just to have an opportunity to be rude. We were in and out of there in 25 minutes flat, well before their posted closing time, but not long enough to enjoy our lunch at all. I am giving Osaka a three because the food really is good and the chef did a great job even though he was clearly going faster than he should have. We are returning tonight because it is the only Japanese restaurant for miles around and I can only hope that we have a better experience on a Wednesday night. Pros: Convenient distance, great food Cons: Terrible service, reluctance to adhere to their own schedule/posted hours
