Review content:
So I met Russ when I purchased three training sessions in a silent auction at a golf tournament - 10 minutes into the first session I was hooked.
He has all of the characteristics you would hope a trainer would have. His knowledge of the body is amazing. He understands nutrition unbelievably well - he basically gets it. But I don't consider these the reasons I like a trainer (I expect these levels of knowledge). Russ is so much more than this.
First, his level of intensity and concentration when he is with you is out of control. He truly is able to block out every other distraction in the gym and he is 100% focused on EVERY SINGLE REP AND MOVEMENT THAT YOU MAKE. And i mean every one. He is always making adjustments and really focuses on how your body is responding. He is the exact opposite of many trainers I see who spend the entire session talking to everyone else in the gym expect for the client in front of them.
Secondly, I would always think to myself that I am paying for the last 3-5 reps during a set. These are the ones that I would have considered physically impossible if I were on my own. The ones that he is somehow able to convince me that I am able to do them. And every time I would finish, I would have the ""oh sh*t"" moment of knowing exactly why I was working with this guy,
Basically, all I can say is that Russ gets results. I liked him so much that I drove for miles to get to him. I live in Long Beach, I worked in Marina Del Rey at the time and would I drive to Santa Monica three nights a week to meet with him and then have to head all the way down to the LBC after each session and it never bothered me. I have since moved far too far to still see him and I miss him. I would recommend this guy without hesitation regardless of your current physical state. Just go. You wont regret it (you might be sore as hell, but it will be the best feeling soreness you will have ever felt).
Pros: Unbelievable commitment dedication and RESULTS!
Cons: it was too far for me to go after I moved to the LBC
