Initially, we were very satisfied with LKD. We called them in December before Christmas, and they came out immediately, gave us an estimate, and started working. We had tile done in our bathroom and shower, and had the glass replaced in our shower. We had some issues with how some of the tile was laid, and they tore it all down and fixed it to our liking. It took longer than we were told, but it was around the holidays, and it was the glass company that took the longest time to come out.
About a month later, our ceiling started to leak. We traced it back to the shower, and were told by a plumber (after holes were put into our ceiling and walls) that the first group of workers that were hired by the contractor put screws through the shower drain pan liner. We called the contractor, he came back out and fixed it immediately. He even paid to have the holes in the walls fixed. But, the shower glass had to be removed, and it took almost 2 weeks to get the contractor to get the glass people to come back out. (We actually didn't hear back from him until we threatened to call Service Magic.) And when they finally did come out, we ended up having to caulk it ourselves because they didn't (even though we asked them to).
The shower looked beautiful, but we had significant amounts of water leaking underneath the door. At this point, we were tired of dealing with LKD and called a completely different glass company, who said that although the shower door was installed correctly, the tile underneath the shower door slanted out instead of in, which led to the water leaking out. We have decided to have a friend fix the tile and have this new glass company replace the glass. We would rather pay to have it done right.
It has been over 6 months and I still don't consider the job done. I don't think we will go through this contractor again.
Pros: Good price, nice tiling, quick to respond to issues
Cons: Poor communication, don't do things right the first time
