Review content:
I must preface this review by saying that I do not have gluten allergies. However, I often enjoy gluten-free goodies at Whole Foods and other bakeries since friends and family do have restricted diets.
Rose's falls into the trap of making gluten-free cookies and breads that just have a strange texture to them, and I can't quite get over the feeling that something is not quite right. I tried the Cheese Pizza and some cookies, and they were far from the quality of similar items I have had at Whole Foods.
I think it's great that there is a gluten-free bakery here in Evanston, but gluten-free does not mean you have to sacrifice taste.
Pros: Thoughtful menu, Nice owner
Cons: Taste
