Review content:
Unfortunately, there aren't many bakeries west of hwy 6 for people living in Katy. So when I asked around, everyone recommended Ooh La La. More like Ooh La Don't!
I purchased a slice of cake and a slice of pie. And I've had cupcakes ordered from Ooh La La at a friend's party. The cakes are dry and tasteless and the texture leads me to believe that the owner uses a boxed mix. The ""Red Velvet"" cupcake did not have cream cheese frosting but a white, sweet pseudo-frosting that tasted like it came from a grocery store bakery. The chocolate cake was lacking in chocolate flavor. The only thing good about the oreo pie were the oreos.
Bottom line, this bakery makes their items overly sweet to compensate for a lack of flavor. While their portions are large, why spend the money (and the calories) on something you could buy at the grocery store down the street for cheaper. Sadly, Katy-ites don't have many options for bakeries so this place serves junk and flourishes.
