Review content:
My wife is from Chengdu, the capitol of Sichuan province. And she is a real foodie. Recently, we had a late nite dinner here and it was simply the best and most authentic Sichuan food we have had outside of Chengdu. The specific dishes we ordered and most highly recommend as being both the real deal and absolutely stunningly delicious are the following: hong you dumpling (spicy dumpling in red chili oil sauce), fu chee fay pian (husband and wife beef tendon cold in spicy sauce), double cooked pork with leeks, shway zhu niu (beef dish drowned in hot chili spicy oil - - this last dish is not for wimps). The service was fast and efficient. Because we ordered so much (I always like my wife to enjoy the leftovers at home for the next few days), they were kind enough to move us to a bigger table for 4. We are so looking forward to taking my wife's parents when they next visit. In the meantime, trust us and know that Spicy & Tasty is far better than Sichuan Gourmet in Manhattan. But, also know that this is truly spicy food. Remember the old saying: 2 things come from Chengdu: spicy girls and spicy food. I ended up with both!
Pros: Incredibly Authentic, delicious, inexpensive, nice ambience, good service
Cons: I feel like an idiot letting anybody know about this place as I want it all to myself but you just have to know what real Sichuan food tastes like!
