Review content:
I came across the other reviews and was not surprised to see that many others have commented on the owner's attitude. It's quite unusual to rub so many customers the wrong way, but this guy has done it extremely succesfully. The first time I went in with two family members, he said ""Are you planning to buy something? This isn't a museum."" ...Wow... well, we were considering buying something AND certainly planned to come back in the future b/c the place sells some great stuff; however, after that comment we all decided to never shop there again. As I told a friend of mine about this unusual store experience, he said, ""Oh yeah, I had a similar experience in that store TWICE before."" Well, after 2-3 years, I stopped in again recently thinking I'd give it another chance. I didn't see the guy in there at first and the woman running the register was very nice. However, as the woman was helping me, the guy (who was the same one I described above) made a rude comment toward me... I was looking for boots to wear for Halloween and I said I was hoping to find ones with a platform and higher heel. He said, ""Oh, so you want to look like a hoochie?"" I didn't really know how respond... Strange and completely inappropriate thing to say to a customer. This guy really needs to completely STOP interacting with costumers, and instead needs to make a good business move and stick to inventory or something where he can stay to himself at all times. If so many customers have had a bad experience in this store b/c of the attitude and negative air in that place, and if he wants to have repeat business, he should really consider seeking professional psychological attention. It might be a good business move for an otherwise cool store that I think has the potential to do well. Pros: Cool vintage 70s clothes, furniture, & items; Good costumes Cons: Owner has an unusually bad attitude, treats customers poorly
