Review content:
At Thomas Anthony Furniture Services we pride ourselves for standing behind
each and every job we do and guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. We have
been in business since 1990 and this is the first complaint post we have
ever received. This customer is correct in that Thomas Anthony Furniture
Services did a complete reupholster and restoration on a complex, fully
tufted sofa. Unfortunately, one of our upholsters took it upon himself to
use a glue in certain areas believing it would make the pleats appear more
uniform. Once management identified the workmanship error, we undertook the
following steps to correct the problem: 1) We apologized to the customer and
took FULL responsibility for the problem as well as correcting it. 2) We
terminated the employee who used a method for reupholstering both unorthodox
and not approved by management. 3) We ordered new material at our expense
rather than trying to reuse any existing material. 4) We had one of our
master craftsmen reupholster all the areas in question. 5) Once the job was
complete, we invited the customer to our facility to thoroughly re-inspect
the sofa with the owner. At that time, the client stated they were very
pleased. 6) The sofa was packed and protected and redelivered to the
customer who once again inspected the job and expressed their satisfaction.
We did not receive any additional negative feedback from the customer and
were surprised to read this posting as we thought this issue had been
resolved to our customer's satisfaction.
