Review content:
Purchased an installation of a new railing for our stairs. Unfortunately, they left wood edges throughout the rail sharp and unfinished. The first time I walked up the stairs I cut my finger on one of the sharp edges. After calling, we were disappointed to hear from their representative, Jim at Deer Park Stairs: "All I can say is try sanding it," then "It's the type of rail you chose" and he repeated over and over "no one has ever complained of this before." They tried to say that it was my fault because I chose a certain rail type. I did not have a problem with the rail type- it was the fact that it was sharp and unfinished and it cut me. They did not care enough to make it right, or to solve the issue. They did not offer to come back to finish it. Instead he suggested we get a new rail installed and we would be billed an additional $180. This is after we paid $1000. We didn't want to sand the rail's edges ourselves we were afraid the expensive job would look worse so we had to pay extra money just to get a job completed. Can't recommend this company because of the high prices, bad work and poor after service care we received. We wish we had given our business somewhere else.
