Review content:
I hadn't been to a dentist since my parents moved away from my hometown and the dentist I grew up with, and I was nervous about finding a new dentist here in LA, but my boyfriend recommended Dr. Woss, and last week I decided to give her a try. She was great! She did all of her own cleaning (her friendly assistant did some X-rays beforehand and polished my teeth afterward) and she explained what she was doing and looking for every step of the way, which helped to put me at ease after being away from the dentist's chair for so long. Afterward, she used a camera to show me the problem areas that she found, which was new and cool for me. It's much easier to understand why you need a night guard when you can see the damage that grinding your teeth is causing! Still, there was no pressure from her or anyone else in the office to spring for the fancy $500 night guard, and I will probably end up picking up a cheaper (and lower quality, I'm sure) do-it-yourself version at CVS. I went back this morning to have my cavities filled, and I'm happy to say that the procedure, which is obviously never exactly pleasant, went as well as I could possibly ask. I really appreciate the time that Dr. Woss took to make sure everything felt just right so that now that the anesthetic is fully worn off, everything feels just like it did before and I am completely pain- and cavity-free. But you'd never know this if you, like me, have always relied on Yelp to vet the people you give your business to. For some reason, hopefully innocent but maybe not (Citysearch won't let me post a link, so Google ""yelp filtering positive reviews cbs"" and you'll see what I mean), Yelp is filtering out all of Dr. Woss's positive reviews. However, if you scroll the bottom of her Yelp page and click the ""(Show Filtered)"" link just above ""About This Business"", you can read 20 (by my count) extremely positive reviews, including mine. No one likes going to the dentist (no one I know, anyway), but Dr. Woss will make the process as pleasant and painless as it can possibly be, and for that, I'm grateful enough to try to set the record straight. Trust Dr. Woss with your teeth; you'll be happy you did.
