Review content:
Navy City Metals does not honor the offer they give you. They offered to pick up my vehicles for $35 per trip and Pay me $175/ton. When I went to the office and picked up the check they charged me $100 per trip for the hauling. Which when figured into the price per ton dropped what they paid me by over $20/ton. I told the front counter person who refused to correct the error, told me to talk to the owner. I talked to Darrin J London (who said he was the owner who I had received the prices from) He initially stated he never told me that, then as I reminded him about the conversation he stated he remembered it but my pick up location was an hour away and that he thought it was on 30 minutes away. I told him that even using his reasoning, then it would only be $70/trip. He said something like ya I guess, so I asked what he wanted to do about it to make it right. He stated he was good. I asked again if he was going to reimburse me for the additional charge that I had not agreed to, he again stated he was good.
Long and short of it, a business not to be trusted. Website says FREE pickup, I was told two separate times $35/trip for hauling then charged $100/trip two times with no call to tell me before they came for the second pickup of a change of nearly 300%. If you drive in off the street with scrap they will not offer anything or they pay half or less than half price per pound of the salvage yards in Tacoma. Please save yourself the frustration, drive the extra 30 miles or less to Tacoma and get a fair deal.
