I had dealt with Seifer 20 years ago, and based on past experience and, I thought, their reputation, I turned to them when I redid all my baths. I am disappointed in the cabinet quality. I specified that I wanted plywood because of the moisture in the bathrooms, even though this involves an added charge. Instead, I have pressboard. More serious are the design issues in my main bath. I was given a center cabinet that is 24 inches deep and would not fit through the 24 inch wide standard bathroom door without taking it apart. The standard size bathroom sink would be set back too far. The doors would hit the toilet. The salesman did not make it clear what he was ordering, and nothing provided in writing indicates the cabinet depth so that I could check what I was getting. The list of items ordered is made up of internal codes with no description. I also indicated I wanted 29 inch high cabinets with children in mind, and got 35 inch cabinets instead. Again, the written order provides no details in English. Basically, I was sold a kitchen sink base for a bathroom. When I called about the problems, the salesman was dismissive and said I would appreciate the extra counter space. My contractor is taking the cabinet apart and modifying it, because I don't want to wait 6-8 more weeks with my bathroom torn apart to reorder, plus this would be added expense. My advice is that there are better stores out there. Don't deal with Seifer.
