I can?t remember the last time I went to the dentist? When I lost my job and my stress was at a all time high the last thing that I needed was a tooth problem and of course that was the first thing that happened. I had a slight tooth ache in the back of my mouth. Knowing that we could not afford the dentist, I kept putting it off it got to the point where I would not eat anything cold or too hot and I would use Orajel pain reliever like it was going out of style. I must have gone through at least 2-3 bottles of this stuff before I decided to go to the dentist. I live in Salinas Ca and I went to a dentist here in Gilroy to find out what was going on. He quoted me over 3,000 dollars (out of pocket) for an emergency root canal and crown. I left the in fear knowing that I could never afford that. A family emergency came up and I had to leave town. The pain got to the point where I could not stand it anymore. While on the road I looked up a dental office that was on my route. I was blessed to find the Johnson Family Dental. They took me in with open arms and got everything taken care of. I told Dr. Gary Johnson that I could not remember the last time I was at the dentist prior to my tooth ache and my horrible visit in Gilroy. At no point did Dr. Gary Johnson pass judgment, he never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed about my teeth he never made me feel uncomfortable. At first they took x-rays so that they knew what was going on and then they explained to me what they thought was the most important to take care of. Dr. Gary Johnson explained to me step by step what was going on, he explained why it had to be fixed and how he was going to fix it. With the insurance coverage from my husband we were able to get all of my work done and it never came close to 3,000 (out of pocket.) I was terrified to go to the dentist after what had happened before but the Johnson Family Dental office was so amazing. They took all of the pain away and helped me understand why I need to take care of my teeth. The Staff was all nice and they made me feel so great. I will always recommend the Johnson Family Dental to all Family and Friends. I could not sing there praises enough!!!
