I have been going to Andrea for a very long time for my color, we met in Washington DC after I read a review about her as best colorist in the dc area written by the Washintonian, wow what a big deal I thought. I had to wait about 4 weeks to see her and it was well worth it. Since then I moved out to the LA area and saw her when I went back east to visit my family. You can imagine how delighted I was when she said she was moving out here too! I travel from the beach just to have her do my color. And I have watched her steadily grow here too as word has got out. Andrea came from San Fransisco then moved to DC after NYC. She has been an international educator for Wella, Clairol, Schwartzcopf..... that means she has taught other colorists, there is nothing she does not know, it is fasinating! ( I know everything about here, well it has been a long time!) Her DC clients included senators, lawyers, they couldn't get enought of her. And now LA is getting word of it too, she has had reviews alongside Fredrich Fakkai in Angelino, best color/cut recently in Elle and many local magazines. And what's even better, she costs me less here than she did on the east coast. She is $75 for color and $130-$160 for hilights, that's it, no more, and that includes shampoo and blowdry by her amazing assistants. And if you take in a pic she will tell you flat out, yes I can or no I can not, and this is why. It's not that she cannot do it its that she does not think it is in your best interest to (lets say you want really blonde as I have) use bleach as it will ruin your hair. And when she says you will just need a retouch next time and not hilights she means in a month or so, not 3 when there is half a head of roots! (been there too!) Go see her, tell her Amy sent you!!!!! Pros: lovely area and free parking!
