Review content:
I stopped getting allergy shots from Family Allergy and Asthma about a year ago. I started back in October 2012. When I used to get my shots the price was around $40/month. I just received my first invoice from Family Allergy and Asthma and the amount owed was more than $1,000. When I called and spoke with Melissa in Billing, she was extremely rude. She told me the charge was because they ordered enough vials for the year. I told her they never told me this, all they told me was that I could restart my shots. I said they should have told me if I was going to be bill an extra $1,000 above what I was used to. She told me they have too many patients to notify them every time there is an increase in what's owed, and it is the patient's job to ask how much they will owe. I told her I never agreed to purchase a year's worth of vials and I was never told they would be purchased. I said I feel like I'm being ripped off and now I feel like they're not trying to help me so I won't be coming back and I won't be using those vials. She said that's fine but I still have to pay for them. When I said I wouldn't pay she told me to just call my doctor if I want to talk more about it, then she hung up on me.
