Review content:
We had someone come in and said they would give a free painting estimate. I told them to just leave it in the mailbox and this guy says that they do something more than that and asked if my wife was home also. I told him that it won't be necessary since he was only doing a quote. Then the guy insisted that my wife be present so I gave him the benefit and woke her up. While my wife was getting ready. I went around the house with the sales guy going over the walls of the house. He then proceeded with some scare tactic about the little cracks can make my house unsafe and it would cause 40 thousand or so to fix. I find that hard to believe when the cracks were very small. At this point I felt like the guy is just setting me up to get used to big numbers.
After we were done outside. He came in the house with a bunch of stuff. He pulled out a laptop and started his presentation and I told him I just wanted the quote and he said in few minutes. I asked a couple more times and he said again 5 more minutes. It took over ""3 HOURS"" for this guy to do his dog and pony show and my wife was already upset. Then he went back outside to measure before we got a quote. After all of that, for our 3 bedroom house he said the Retail price was almost $21,000 but if I sign the contract immediately I save 25% total . . . I told him no way, and he made a phone call and he lowered the price another 10% if his company can use it for some showcase thing. My wife said no and showed him the door. He make another call to his office and they somehow had another discount because another office or something had a big order and they would lump ours to get the discount. I said this all sounds fishy when they start with an outrageous price and basically cut the price in half just to get us to sign he contract. I said no and then he suggested some zero % financing for 12 months then he tried to belittle us and tried to do some hypothetical conversation and did a lot of high pressure manipulation. Answer was still no. He finally packed up after 4 hours and never left a formal quote. We called another contractor and we got the job done for $4000. The contractor heard about these guys from another customer of theirs and he said that if they sucker you into buying one of their stuff like their paint job or roof, then they keep coming back and try to force you to buy more stuff from them because they know that you can be manipulated. Then they brag about all the repeat business. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS !!!
