Review content:
""I took my Pug to Mr Tracy Sane in October (2008) to administer a tick and tapeworm treatment on my dog and stamp his ""Pet Passport"" as we were traveling back to the UK on the Queen Mary 2. I had previously checked with him that he was familiar with the Pet Passport Scheme and he assured me that he was. However, on arrival at his surgery on October 15th (24 HOURS BEFORE DEPARTURE) he informed me that I should have carried out a rabies test on my dog two weeks prior to travel! I told him I was sure this was not the case, as had I not done that when I had used my dog's pet passport to travel from the UK to Paris and back. In fact, I had never heard of the rabies test he mentioned. Despite this, he was adamant that I needed the test. After two hours of frantically phoning DEFRA, JFK and CUNARD I was referred to a vets (St Marks in the East Village) who WERE familiar with the Pet Passport Scheme and duly administered the tick and tape and stamped his passport. In short, my experience of Mr Sane was that he is NOT au fait with something he professes to know about. I certainly wont be going back to him with my dog, when I return to New York in April.""
Pros: Nice reception area and excellent receptionist.
Cons: Overly confident. Recommended unnecessary test. Not au fait with the Pet Passport Scheme.
