Review content:
Dr Sane is fantastic!! My dog is petrified of all vets (probably due to some trauma from her days as as shelter dog), but he is soooo good with her! Always greets her as ""hey gorgeous!"", and he is so gentle and kind, she actually stops her trembling once he starts looking her over. As the other reviewers say, he tries the least invasive options first, and never pushes unnecessary products or treatments. My dog recently developed ""cherry eye"", which did not respond to medication, so she went in for surgery last week. While it was very traumatic for us both, he did an awesome job and her eye looks beautiful now! He called me himself after surgery to let me know she was going well, and when I called the next day to say that she wouldn't take her pain pills, and to ask if he had any ""less disgusting"" options, he was even sweet enough to provide a new painkiller free of charge (rather than just telling me to learn to forcefeed them, which I expected. She did great on the new pills).
We had a follow-up appointment this afternoon, to check on her eye, and to go over the biopsy results for a growth he removed last week. When he learned this morning that the growth was harmless, he called me immediately with the good news, which I appreciated enormously. At our appointment, he decided to just look her over in the waiting room rather than freaking her out with another trip onto his exam table. Then smiled, and said ""she's perfect now! Go home and enjoy your happy healthy dog"". :))) Couldn't ask for more in a vet.
