Review content:
Like most BBQ joints there is nothing fancy about the decor here, after all good barbecue is about the food, not the restaurant and this place is no exception to that rule. Unfortunately that?s about where the ?good barbeque? experience ends. It was a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was not crowded at all (should have been a clue). My wife ordered Ham with fries; I had the daily special ? pulled pork sandwich with fries and beans. My wife?s ham was completely flavorless and her fries were woefully under cooked, as were mine. My sandwich was average, nothing special. Just pork on a plain hamburger bun (I think it?s hard to mess up pull pork). The beans were tasty, I will have to admit, I have had a lot of bad beans at BBQ joints, and these were pretty good. The most interesting thing is the sauce itself; it is on the watery side which is fine, I don?t get caught up in the consistence of my sauce as long as it?s good. It has a very distinct spice flavor, Cloves I think, which kept my interest and helped when eating the fries. Guess we should have asked for extra to drown the ham in. Over all, the sauce alone is not enough to make me stop here again. Sorry..
Pros: Interesting Sauce
Cons: Undercooked Fries
