Review content:
I'm a new resident in the Buford area and have been driving by the Sweet Escapes Bakery for several months wondering what type of food and desserts were being served. I finally drove to the bakery and decided to eat there. I was disappointed when my friend and I arrived at the cafe and stood there for several minutes until someone greeted us and sat us (strike 1). We were excited to be there and to try this new place. All of our excitement quickly faded away. We ordered lemonade and they had run out (strike 2). We orded a turkey sandwich on a crossaint and they were out of crossaints (strike 3). So we ordered the turkey sandwich on 8-grain bread. When my sandwich arrived I noticed the sprouts were not in it. Sprouts are included in the sandwich. So I ask our server and she tells me they are out of sprouts. What?!?! (strike 4). If the server knew they were out of sprouts and we particulary order an item that includes them, she should advise the client that they are out of the item before the order is placed. The sandwich was alright. Nothing to brag home about. We then decided to try some of their desserts, which we didn't have many to pick from to begin with. I've had better desserts. As we are paying and leaving this place, we over heard the server informing another client that they were out of rasberry salad dressing (strike 5). How can a place function without having the main ingredients? I was really disappointed and was hoping for a different experience. I will never go back to that place.
