Review content:
Yesterday was my 20th birthday. I woke up around 5am to notice that my dog Buddy was unable to walk. I called Pinecrest as he needed to be seen right away. Of course, I got the answering service, as the office was not open. The women told me she would try and contact the vet. I awaited her call and received nothing. I called and asked her if she had heard anything from the vet a total of 7 times!!!!! She was clueless as to where he was. I finally decided I was going to head toward the emergency clinic in Flint and hoped she would soon call me with some good news. She was not able to tell me if he was available.
My dog's name was Buddy and he was the biggest sweet heart. He followed my sister and I everywhere! If we left the house and did not take him, he would stand at our front door and bark, He was an amazing dog.
On our way to the vet Buddy became much worse. He died on the way to Flint in front of me, my mother, and 12 year old sister. It was traumatic. It was not a pleasant death either. I tried to keep him alive, but I was unable to.
I will NEVER go to Pinecrest again. If I did not receive the run around from their answering service my dog Buddy may still be alive. He would have got the help in time. It is the job of the answering service to know what the vet is doing at all times. I later found out (from the vets office) that the vet was driving to the airport at the same time my dog needed help. The women who answered my call should have known that, and she should have been able to tell me the first time I called.
