Sigh~ I love to support local mom & pop businesses; and I go out of my way to support them instead of spending my money on greedy corporate cats... so this is going to be a tough review to write. I've waited several days until I have calmed down to write this -- as to not write scathing review as I had initially intended. I took my bike to this shop because they said that they do in fact work on the particular brand of bike, which I own. When I took the bike into the shop around 10:00am, the guy at the desk told me, ""yeah we'll try to have you out of here later today."" Having no other ride, I decided to walk down to the nearest Starbucks and wait for their phone call informing me of the results of their diagnostics. They NEVER called. So I called them at 1:00pm to inquire. ""We have some bikes that we need to get out, so it will take us a while. We'll give you a call."" NOTHING. So I called around 5:00pm. ""Yeah, we're really busy right now. Maybe we'll get to your bike tomorrow."" MAYBE TOMORROW?!?!? That's a lot different from, ""we'll try to get you out of here later today."" Saturday came. No call. Monday they're closed. Tuesday morning I call them. ""Yeah, we're really busy. We may get to your bike later this week."" WTF?!?!?!? Had I been told in the first place that it will be several days until they even look at my bike, I would not have left it there! ...skipping ahead to the following Saturday (8 days after I dropped off the bike), the owner brought my bike out from the back; and he could not get it started. This is one of the issues for which I brought in the bike. He calls the mechanic, finally get the bike started somehow, tells me that after it warms up, the bike will be running smoothly and I will not have any more trouble. WRONG! My bike backfired the entire way home. And it died on my about 7 or 8 times on the road while riding. I was experiencing ALL THE ISSUES that I had before! And the stalling seemed even worse than before! I didn't bother taking it back to the shop. Didn't wan them tearing it apart and F*&^ing it up some more. After I got home I called, and the owner told me to, ""try putting some gas in the bike."" WHAT THE HELL BUSINESS ARE THESE PEOPLE RUNNING?????! After bringing the bike home I've decided to take a closer look. These are my findings: (1) The two bolts that attaches the air cleaner to the bike, which partially holds my carburetor in place were not even bolted in. Had the air cleaner fallen off while I was riding, it could have torn off my carburetor right off the bike! (2) My carburetor. They put a damn bolt into a hole which is a vent to the bowl of the carburetor. (3) The throttle wire that is attached to the carb isn't put in securely. Oh, and the throttle wire is twisted. That is one HORRIBLE JOB for a professional! Oh, and the rubber boot that connects the carburetor and the intake? I had to supply them that part because they said they couldn't find the part! WHAT??? Aren't they Parts Unlimited? That is all. I think.
