Review content:
We hired Quik Movers to move us on Sept. 10, 2009. They claimed they were an honest small business and they even gave us a deal up front. The day started out with them arriving over 2 hours late because someone put the wrong type of gas into their truck and they had to have it serviced to remove it. No phone call to let us know, we had to call them to see what was up. Then when they finally arrived at 11:15 ish , to move our 2 bedroom ranch home, they started out SLOW. I was 7 months pregnant at the time, and took more loads out to our car then I saw the three movers move. At around 12:00 they were already taking a ""break"" for lunch. One guy on their moving team was extremely sick. The other guy was telling us the whole family had MRSA--which put us at alarm and panic for the rest of the day. The terribly sick guy finally left at 5:00 to go to the emergency room for care. For the next hour and half, one of the movers was trying to get a hold of someone else to come up and help us move. He was on the phone non stop. My husband finally started to help and continued to help move until 10:00pm at night. Noone from their team ever showed up to help and replace the sick guy. At 10:00 pm, everything was still not moved out of our 2 bedroom ranch and from 5 - 10 at night everything was dumped into our garage. We were overcharged for a job they said would take 6 - 7 hours and ended up taking 11 hours with the job not even being done. WE PAID up front--knowing we would call this honest business and let them know our complaints. The lady who claimed they had an honest business said she would be happy to refund our money, and has been telling us this for the last month and a half, along with ""the check is in the mail"". I would never hire them or think of hiring them nor would I wish their service on my worst enemy. Needless to say, my husband couldn't walk for two days, our house was in turmoil for the next month, and no refund was ever sent to us.
Pros: Hard to find one
Cons: Dishonest, unprofessional, etc
