Mama's Restaurant, for so many years has been a favorite in my family. My mother brother and I have never before been unsatisfied, dining in or ordering out from Mama's. Almost every Friday in my household, my mother would order a pizza and anytime she needs something such as a large pan of lasagna or whatever it may be for a get- together, they are first choice. Now I have to tell you.... their pizza is great! But last Sunday, my boyfriend and I, as we do just about once every two weeks, decided to order a six cut pizza. We were craving pizza and we figured it's fresh and pretty much always cooked to perfection for an affordable $7. My boyfriend went into Mama's and about 5 mins later he returned perturbed. I opened the box and the pizza was terrible. The crust was thin and burnt, the pizza was cold and it was nothing like we were expecting. The part that bothered me the most, was that my boyfriend politely voiced his feelings on the unsatisfaction he felt, and although the lady behind the counter apologized, when she went to offer him another pizza, the gentleman standing there with her, argued that it is always that way. My boyfriend proceeded to inform him, that we have never received a pizza of that quality from there and the gentleman continued to argue the fact. Being in the restaurant business for sometime, is the customer not always right?! What a terrible way of handling a situation with a customer. Did you know that a happy customer may tell a friend or two about your business, but an unhappy one will tell ten? All I can say is that after it changed hands shortly ago, I was very impressed with how the quality and quantity and atmosphere had remained the same. Unfortunately, after Sunday, I am an unhappy customer, with more than ten friends, and I am not sure if I will give it another chance.
Pros: Usually great food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere
