Review content:
I started training at Mayo Academy in the 1990's back then the bulk of the curriculum was Shotokan Karate and of course Filipino Arts . I trained with Sensei Mayo for more than 10 years earning a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and various trophies from local and out of state tournament. The current schedule and classes being offered at Mayo Academy is a varied one , Sensei Mayo has transformed his school into one of the best all around schools in the NYC area offering : MMA / Jiu Jitsu , Muay Thai / Kickboxing , edged weapons /self defense classes and of course traditional Filipino Fighting Arts, I wish I was still living in New York City to take advantage of all the knowledge that Sensei Mayo and the other instructors bring to the Dojo. And the part that I liked the most is that you are not only a student but you become part of the family !!!!
