Review content:
We all know finding ways to be proactive in the advancement of one's acting career is much harder in todays economy, so it's vital you take full advantage of those decisions that are actually within your control. Years ago, when I first came to LA from NY, I worked as an intern for two major casting directors. During that time thousands of headshots passed through my hands. Now I am a professional actor with guest starring credits on top shows like CSI Miami and Burn Notice. Make no mistake, you get what you put into this business. Half the battle is just getting in the audition room. It is better by far to go with an artist whose work will get you in the door than to save a couple hundred dollars and never get called in. Pictures. Matter. You cut corners you're just hurting yourself. Buckman's work speaks for itself. My session with Brad produced the best shots I've ever had taken and I had so much fun doing it, literally the hardest part was trying to keep from smiling in every shot.
For being one of the top-tier photographers in LA his prices dont make sense until you meet him and realize he has a heart for actors trying to fulfil their dreams. I spent five hours with Brad, during which time he made me feel like a movie star. And at the end he handed me shots that made me look like one.
UPDATE 3/15/12
OK friends, I've just seen how my headshots turned out after being edited by Brad. Just to be clear, I'm not writing these reviews for Brad's benefit; he was voted one of L.A.'s Top 10 headshot photographers and L.A.'s first digital headshot photographer... I think it's clear Brad isn't the one in need of work. No, I'm writing these for all of the actors and actresses I know in this town who do nothing but complain to me that they can't get or hold an agent. I have witnessed too many friends make the same mistake by repeatedly using photographers who produce work that's below the highest standard. In LA that's like fishing without bait. I'll post one of my pictures but he has all of his pics on his site. My name is Joe Vita, you can google me to see how the rest of my shots turned out.
