ZERO STAR, AVOID MoveOurStuff at all cost, they are a scam. Very hard to believe some people gave them 5 stars. My family moves around quite a bit, but they are by far the worst movers we've ever experienced. Not even sure if we can call them movers. They are garbage disposers at best. We were moving just few miles away, and we had to catch an international flight the day after the moving date so we had planned and timed the move very carefully. But the moment we chose MoveOurStuff as our mover, it all crumbled down. On the day of the move, they were supposed to arrive at 9AM with 2 trucks and 8 movers. But when they showed up it was already noon, and they came with only 1 truck and 4 heads (one of them was a poor old man, he couldn't do any task requiring strength). Even before they began their work we told them that 1 truck was not enough, but they pushed us aside and kept insisting it was fine and that they had another truck waiting if there should be a need for it. The guys started working, and it seemed okay for the first hour. But after that, despite them arriving 3 hours late, they decided to disappear without telling us anything and go for 1 hour lunch break. When they came back, all they said was ""we had to eat and there was no place to eat nearby"". They went back to work, but things slowed down very quickly. The loading into the truck was not up to speed, and they began throwing things out in the yard, saying they will ""put everything outside first & then decide on what order to load the truck"". So the front of the house was getting very messsy... and it was getting late. It was 1AM, and they hadn't finished loading the truck. They couldn't fit everything in the truck, and we told them to bring the other truck that was supposed to be standing by, but of course there was no such truck waiting. The movers were exhausted (since they only sent half of the heads they promised they would send) and agitated, began complaining about their work at us, and at the end, they said they'll come back the following day to ""finish the sh%# up"". Hello, we had told them we have a flight to catch the following day!? To top off the evening, they shoved the poor old guy into the back of the truck where there's hardly any space left and locked him in - the front part of the truck was occupied by the other guys. I asked their leader if that was appropriate, and he came up to my face and said, ""what, I've sat there before. Got a problem?"" and walked away. Clearly a violation of labor safety rules/laws/regulations. Anyhoo, the moving out bit was disastrous as we had to ask our neighbors and relatives living far away to come look after the completion of the move the following day. But the story doesn't end here, of course. When the goods arrived at our new resident, there was nothing that was not damaged. Everything was badly scratched, broken, or even missing - in fact, we were missing quite a few items. It's incredible how they can do so much damage, they must have had conducted crash test on every single item we had. We made claims against the missing items, but all they said they would pay was something ridiculous like $300 (which was such a rough estimate anyway). The damage would easily total above $7,000 even after discounting for the number of years that we'd been using them. Some of the missing items were priceless too. After long and tiring phone calls (which they hardly pick up) and emails, they finally ended up paying us $1,000, which was still a joke especially after the hassle and stress they've brought upon my family. I'm not sure why the company still exists at the moment. They should go out of the business immediately. I am going to post this review everywhere I see ""MoveOurStuff"" because I don't want anybody else to go through the pain we went through. Do not risk using them, it's completely not worth it.
