Review content:
I like this place because they have a real family atmosphere. Mom has slowed down, and they are on San Jose, CA assisted living place that gives elders extra TLC and we appreciate that. The owners bring a small dog over occasionally and Mom likes to give the dog people food. The caregivers make real tasty food (one staff likes to watch the food channel for new recipes). I like that they have three caregivers for six residents, so they really take good of Mom, especially getting Mom to walk with all of her problems. I looked at a lot of board and care homes, and this was the best one I found! Mom is probably going on hospice because her health is declining after three years there. She has very mild dementia and short-term memory loss but she's lived a good life.
Pros: Best caregivers and attention to detail
Cons: Parking is limited (so I park on the corner)
