I've been working with psychiatrist for the last 20 years to manage a mood disorder. This doctor is one of the worst I've ever worked with. The intake appoinment- generally where a medical and psychiatric history is taken- consisted of asking me my diagnosis and list of current meds. Nothing else! He knows the basics of most meds, but is clearly unfamilary with interactions and many side effects. He is routinely 30 minutes to 1 hour late for appointments and brushes off any comments that this is unprofessional behavior. He refuses to return phone calls- instead insisting on a ""drop in"" to talk which consists of sitting in the waiting room between 11-2 on a weekday waiting to see if he has any time. Sometimes there is a 3 hour wait, then you're told he has no time to see you!! He refuses to work around work schedules and insists any communication happen between 10 am and 2 pm at patients home. Pros: nothing!! Cons: knowledge of medication, professionalism, ability to work with patient, office staff
