My wife and I had a bad experience with Kuffner Towing on 7/18. She was caught in a flash flood and required a tow. After towing the car to our home and paying by check, the driver returned 10 minutes later and demanded another form of payment and threatened to impound my Jaguar.
I called Kuffner's dispatcher who was exceptionally rude, swore at me, and called me a ""f***ing dickhead."" Over the last week, I have repeatedly called Kuffner to talk to the owner, but all of my attempts were thwarted by the minimum wage hirelings who answer the phones.
Today my insurance company finally authorized repairs. The shop told me they would have Kuffner tow my car to their shop. I told them to use a different towing company. I also told the story to the general manager of the dealership who was outraged by Kuffner's treatment of my wife and I. I hope that they will drop Kuffner in favor of a towing vendor which has more respect for their customers/victims.
I hope that you will consider my experience if you ever need a towing company to help you out in an emergency.
