Review content:
John Gaines is a super nice man... supports his local 4H, the rodeo, etc. I've been seeing John for about 6 years now and have finally decided that I will be seeing someone else next year. Why, you ask? Well, it seems that every year I read up on new laws, and when I ask John about them, he doesn't know, so I have to bring documentation to show him what he should do with my taxes. Why else? Because one year I have to pay, one year I don't-- I don't get that since my income hasn't changed to put me in another bracket, and my withholdings are the same. Another reason? He listed my IRA rollover as an early distribution-- good thing I caught it because I was going to have to pay out the ***! Straw that broke the camel's back? I signed my forms almost 2 months ago only to find out on April 15 by a call from his office that the deadline has come and I haven't submitted my forms back. Mind you, I signed them there and then when I picked them up... so here I am thinking my return will arrive any day now only to find that it was filed on the day that the rest of the nation files. Yup. And I pay this guy roughly $200 each year to do it. Sorry John, you're a wonderful, nice guy, and I will miss our chats, but I need someone more responsible, more knowledgeable, and more reliable.
Pros: Nice guy, down to earth, fairly expedient
Cons: Not responsible, could be more up-to-date on tax laws
