NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! I had my daughter in this school last year, and it was a huge waste of money and a miserable experience! Classes are expensive, but you NEVER get the full hour of instructional time. More like 30-40 minutes. Teachers are always chatting extensively between classes. AND you have to pay a full month's tuition for months in which classes are only held only once or twice (August, December, June). Ridiculous!! Also, there is always a huge push to spend, spend, spend at this school. You will shell out a small fortune for your child to be a part of this organization! Finally, the owner is one of the least pleasant women I have ever dealt with in my life. I have actually seen her *scream* at young girls (luckily, never my own, but still). She is very hot-tempered and should really not be allowed around young children. Perhaps she does better with the high-school-aged kids, but certainly not the younger ones. We moved this summer to New York State, and have since found a fabulous school. I am so happy that we no longer have to suffer with Inis Cairde, as my daughter now enjoys dancing again. Our current experience makes me realize how much we truly suffered at Inis Cairde, and I felt compelled to go back and share our experience so others won't suffer.
