We attended a recent holiday party here, I am so thrilled I didn't chose it or our wedding! Here's what we saw. Food: Setup was bad, guests couldn't get to the different stations, the lines blocked the bathrooms, hot food was cold by the time guests got seated, ofood quality was poor. We found what looked like a coffee filter in one of the pasta dishes, asked the staff to replace the tray, then watched as they pulled the paper out and left it for guests to eat from. The coffee service was cold, we asked for hot coffee, were told it was hot. When we asked for a refilled creamer, a staff member said ""the creamer was just filled, you just don't know how to use it"". The desert station had frozen items - the staff told us ""I just filled this tray, they are still frozen inside, so I wouldn't take any of them"". The bar setup was dirty, drinks were pulled out of a white cooler dirty inside and out. The beer was hot , the house wine (I only tried merlot) was bitter. It tasted like it had gone over. This wasn't a case of just not liking a wine, it was bitter. Set Up: tables were so close guests couldn't get in or out easily. Center table guests had trouble sliding chairs back far enough to get out . Staff: unprofessional, harried, unpleasant, most were very young, kept their hands in their pockets, clothing was shabby and wrinkled.I never saw a smile the entire time there. As we were eating staff was pulling plates off of tables and not even asking if guests were finished. We felt very rushed by the manner the staff cleared the tables. Cleanliness: The floors of the banquet hall were dirty, there was dust on the edging of the floors, the bathrooms were not at all clean.Overall we were disappointed by the staff, the quality of food, the presentation, and the location. Especially knowing the costs ! If you are looking for a location for a reception, be very careful - try to attend an event before EVER signing a contract. Pros: It is in Cary Cons: Extremely expensive, poor quality service, food, staff, and property dirty and in need of repair
