We tried this place on a local's tip when we were in the area. They were right. The place has been in business forever and the present owners haven't changed the original BBQ recipe. Smart thinking! There were families in the big old booths and guys with hats chowing down so don't expect candlelight or bud vases on the tables. Think mismatched salt 'n pepper and plastic covered trivia quizzes for fun! We joined ""regulars"" with smears of BBQ sauce on their faces...it was that good. My husband said his ribs sampler was enough food for a week. My beef ribs were too huge for the plate. Good thing we were friendly to our servers (Javier and Igancio) 'cause it turned out they own the joint! It's amazing to find owners who are that hands-on. We went on a Monday night, so maybe they weren't as busy as weekends. When we got our ""doggie box"", they even gave us a little container of sauce, telling us that when we reheated them the sauce would keep the ribs from drying out too much. This kind of attention to their food is wonderful and so rare these days. The menu has fish and chicken, and kid-sized meals. Prices are really reasonable. We had corn muffins, salad, veggies, potato, twice as much BBQ ribs as we could eat, with a couple of quality draft beers for less than $45. Pros: Rich, sweet, smokey homemade BBQ sauce Cons: Butter in those little plastic portion thingys
