Way to hang us out to dry, I thought they were supposed to help truckers?! We had an emergency tire repair on a truck that was overdue on a critical job. The tire was replaced, but when we tried to get the truck released, they wouldn't let us pay for it by a credit card! Instead, we were supposed to go through some comdata verification system, who not only wanted to take the money off of the card as a CASH ADVANCE but then wanted to charge additional fees on top of it. Why should we have to deal with extra layers of bureaucracy and pay cash advance fees, and also pay to use a ""service"" we were forced to deal with? The local manager was a nice guy and did what he could to help us, but they can't ""change company policy"". I suggest that the company change its own policy, as I will NEVER sign up and PAY to use a system to pay another bill with. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea? Avoid, avoid, avoid Travel Centers of America. Pros: local employees are nice Cons: horrible corporate policies
