Businiess name:  Bayview Property Management

Review content:
The unit I rented it looked great at first until the cold months came around. Then all of a sudden I started having a massively bad mold problem. I called Bayview MANY times about this situation (there was mold all around the apartment and on my furniture--it was growing and spreading. Yuck!!) and they never seemed too concerned about it. Infuriating, because mold is a HEALTH HAZARD. And my unit had incredibly poor ventilation, with only two crummy windows in one corner that hardly offered any air. I had a humidity reader in the house and it *constantly* read at very high. Bayview did not to ANYTHING to fix the situation. But not only was the unit a nightmare, the property manager was too! The first one, Natalie, was decent enough. But when they changed me over to Rachel, that's when things noticeably started to go downhill. Not only was she completely rude to me, but she was rude to my mother too (the co-signer) over the phone. She also came by my apartment with prospective tenants WHILE I WAS GETTING DRESSED and had *never* called ahead. I could go on and on but basically they screwed me out of my deposit (the bastards, we worked incredibly hard to leave that place looking spotless-- it was dirtier when I first moved it!!), were rude to me repeatedly, and my god their PRICES are absolutely ridiculous. No grace period on paying rent, took forEVER to get back to me whenever I called (I called repeatedly and even left messages). Total pain in the ass. If you HAVE to rent from them, I strongly advise that you keep detailed accounts of all your interactions between you and them. DON'T be lazy about it. At one point during the mold fiasco I had begun to record conversations (you can do this with a cellphone) between the manager and i whenever we talked. DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A STUDENT! Pros: I had a place to live in a decent location Cons: disrespectful, rude, EVIL.
