Review content:
The review by animator1975 is not true. In fact, the owners have been knowingly running pirated software for over 5 years. Dimension X Design was busted by Autodesk in the summer of 2007 for having over 10 illegal licenses of Maya software. DXD had to pay thousands in licenses and fines. A simple phone call to the Autodesk piracy group can confirm the facts. My friend used to work there and he said the turnover rate is high, because the owners treat employees poorly don't have a clue to what they are doing. He said it took about 8 Maya animators a year to complete a few simple 9 min. cartoon animations. The work they do is cheesy After Effects and amateur animation from purchased 3D models. He said that the owners force the employees to sign a non-compete contract that prevents them from doing any animation, or similar work for a full year after working there! All fellow animators should seriously avoid DXD and look for a better company to work for. Pros: - Cons: -
