Review content:
It is almost like stepping back in time when you visit Pere Marguette Lodge. Nestled above the Illinois River with wide vistas of the river and the Missouri and Illinois sides of the river throughout the park it makes one feel like an explorer. Well worth a visit any time of year but especially in the Fall when the leaves change. The drive to Grafton or Alton, Illinois along the River Road with the white bluffs is beautiful.
Pros: Fall colors are great, Great fireplace, Romantic setting
Cons: No restaurants close, No nightlife, To far to commute
