Review content:
This past weekend we took a drive to Hilton Head Island, and decided to stop for some dinner before embarking on our two and one half hour ride home. As we drove down the parkway we noticed several interresting sounding restaurants, but Jim and Nick's caught our special attention so we stopped at the drive-thru and placed our order. My husband and I both thought the BBQ on toasted sourdough sounded good, and since it came with french fries and another side (mine collard greens and his cole slaw) we placed our orders with a large water for each of us and proceeded to the payment window. When we came to the first window the young man there looked at us from behind a closed glass window and turned away. Having never visited this establishment before, we simply proceeded to the next window to make payment. The young lady here did not seem to speak any english except the words ""receipt please"", and at this my husband attempted to pay our bill. This is when it became clear to us that someone from the preceeding window, where we were ignored, should have taken our money. She held up her finger, indicating ""one moment please"" and closed the window. The gentleman from window #1 who did not have time for us only the moment before, opened the window; my husband attempted to give him the money, and he too said one moment and closed the window. Finally, the money was collected and food was passed thru with a thank you. We drove off - big mistake... no fries, no drinks, and the meat on one of the sandwiches was like wood pieces - it was nothing but hard ends. We had to take all of the meat off of this one and split the meat from the other between the two sandwiches. We spent a total of close to $18.00 for two meals that were not worth one cent! The unfortunate thing about drive thru service is that by the time you find out you were ripped-off you're down the road and your only recourse, other than turning back, is to write a review and hope someone reads it!
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Poor food, poor service, all-time rip-off
