Review content:
I've eaten lunch here several times while in Danville on business. I would love to try their dinner menu if I'm around, but unfortunately I live 140 miles away! Anyway, this is a classic, and classy, Italian restaurant, located right on the Square in the downtown area. The building itself is a nicely decorated brick structure with an open, airy ambience. The appetizers are sublime (especially the bruschetta), the bread (served with oil) and soups are authentic and delicious. The service is casual, friendly, and attentive. The wine list is all it should be (I only ask for a good Chianti--what else does one need?). While I have never been around to sample their dinner menu, I always plan to get to Danville early for an afternoon appointment, or stay late after a morning one, just so I can eat here! Frank's is the kind of place that this Italian-American wishes he had in his own town. If you go to Danville, you need to go here!
