My son has been suffering from back to back bouts of ""worms"". My son's pediatrician is with Kaiser and after consult they decided that perhaps my son's cousin who comes every Friday and sleeps in my son's bed, eats from the same bags, etc should be treated - perhaps he was the carrier. This last bout my son had there was no rectal itching. If you look on the internet there you can be asymptomatic. My sister took her son today to his physician Dr. Yamaguchi and explained the position of my son and Kaiser's request that he be treated (as well as her family) due to the exposure and possibility that he may have been sick all along and did not know it. This doctor turned to my nephew and asked him if his ""butt itched"", when he said no - that was it. End of story. He said that my nephew did not have worms. Did not even consider since he has been repeatedly exposed to do something as any other physician would. What possible benefit did this do for anyone?
