Review content:
Being the only bridal shop in Napa, I chose to take some family with me over the holidays to check out dresses, it was going to be my only opportunity to dress shop with my mom because I live out of town. This being my first time trying on dresses, I didn't know all of the ins and outs, or even what to expect. I thought it would be fun to have my mom there, let her see me in a couple different gowns, get a few pictures... just have a good time. Well apparently, you can't take pictures, Brunilda picks out your dresses for you, and she doesn't even tell you the designers. I suppose it's to protect her precious sale... but telling me that the dress I was trying on was one of the most popular designs of 2007 wasn't too smart, looks like I'll be finding a similar dress elsewhere now huh! The best part here is when I went to look around and pick out a few gowns for myself, she said that only she knows what looks good on me, and when I grabbed one to try on because I'd seen the style in a magazine and thought I'd look nice in it; she said ""You can try it, but it won't look good on you"".... Excuse me!!!! As if all of the fun hadn't already been sucked out of the experience for me... I was done, no butterflies and teary eyes, no satisfying feeling of the ""perfect dress"". I walked out of there annoyed and my mom didn't even get a picture out of the deal. Pros: Decent selection, beautiful dresses, in-house alterations. Cons: uncomfortable setting, pushy sales tactics, no pictures.
