Review content:
Feast is as yet a largely undiscovered gem. The ever-changing menu boasts the mysterious dishes we?ve all heard associated with England. I was excited to try ""spotted d*ck"" (a delicious dessert) and ""black pudding"" (not a dessert, but a seriously scrumptious sausage) ? and both dishes went far beyond my expectations. For many, one of the best parts of traveling in a foreign country is learning about and enjoying the native cuisine. With history as rich as that found in the UK, each traditional dish is truly a voyage back in time ? the culmination of the development of a country?s culture. And at Feast, you can enjoy it all without boarding a plane. The last time I visited for lunch was on a rainy day, and sitting next to the fireplace in the old restored house, enjoying my cottage pie (succulent lamb, mashed potatoes, and vegetables cooked to perfection), I couldn?t help but be thoroughly satisfied ? except for the persistent yearning to be abroad.
