I have been remodeling my own homes for more than 15 years now and this place is a terrific find. A contractor friend of mine from recommended them and I don't know how I missed them for so long.
I live a mile from nice Home Depot and brand new Menards but I'll still drive 20 minutes to Siweks to find some things.
Doors, trim and specialty lumber - This is your spot. And they'll tell you where to go if they don't have it. If you have an older home and you want to make it right, this is a great spot.
Also, they order from the same suppliers like JB O'meara just like the big boys but with better service.
This is a family business. Alex Siwek has helped me many times and he is always friendly. I don't know who the other folks dealt with when they had poor service but I've never seen it.
I still run to HD for many things and I get good service there too, but there is something special about a place that knows this much and where the lions share of the money they make stays in the community.
